In the heart of Melaka, nestled at 23, Jalan Hang Kasturi, lies a charming little gem known as Kedai Aku & Dia. This cozy café may appear modest and easy to overlook, but it boasts an enticing specialty that is bound to delight your taste buds: ondeh-ondeh.

At first glance, the unassuming storefront might seem a bit shabby, yet what awaits inside is a delightful burst of flavor that sets it apart from your typical fare. The ondeh-ondeh here is a unique twist on the classic, filled not with the usual liquid gula melaka but rather with chewy cubes of this Malaccan sugar that create a tantalizing texture that begs to be savored. Customers rave about the freshly made ondeh-ondeh, served warm straight from the pot, ensuring each bite is a delicious experience.

For just RM 3, you can treat yourself to four of these delectable spheres. As one satisfied customer, Zion Tong, shares, "I really love the ondeh-ondeh… it's warm as it’s cooked on the spot." Many visitors like Weijie Chu agree, noting the delightful surprise of the subtle sweetness and textured filling. It’s not just a dessert; it's a culinary adventure in every bite. Andre Karl Misso aptly describes these treats as "amazing," emphasizing their special charm in both flavor and presentation.

Despite its humble setting, the experience at Kedai Aku & Dia resonates deeply with patrons. Reviewers have echoed a sentiment of support for the elderly gentleman behind the counter, often affectionately referred to as ‘uncle’. His straightforward yet warm approach adds a layer of nostalgia to the visit, reminiscent of simpler, home-cooked meals. EL highlights how the ondeh-ondeh deviates from the oozing centers usually associated with these snacks, instead offering a soft texture with chunks of sweet gul melaka, leading to a gratifying mix of sweet and salty that captures the essence of this local delicacy.

Overall, Kedai Aku & Dia is not just a café; it’s a must-visit spot for anyone seeking authentic flavors in Melaka. Whether you're a local or a traveler, indulging in their freshly made ondeh-ondeh will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression and a craving for more. So take a moment, step away from the hustle and bustle, and allow this little haven to enchant your palate with a twist on a beloved classic!

Definitely a special onde-onde compare to your ordinary onde-onde. Gula melaka filing, but it is not that will burst on your mouth. It's more of a cube that you cam bite on. Not and still a special onde-onde to try on. 4 for RM 3.

It’s like a whole in a wall. Try this local cuisine. I call it a cake, well, spherical cakes. They make them fresh and when consumed hot from the pot, they are amazing! The cakes are Gula Melaka (Malaccan Sugar) wrapped in flour and covered with grated coconut. You make the purchase outside the shop. That’s their core product. The elderly man will complete your purchase with a nonchalant expression. I call it a ‘just pay and walk away’ service experience (LOL). Try these spherical cakes with a flatwhite. Brilliant!

I understand there is mix reviews, however for my personal taste I really love the ondeh-ondeh.. it’s warm as it’s cook on the spot and the gula melaka is in cube and chewy outside and crunch inside , I really love it, the best I ever had. I am from Singapore , used to eating the liquid type of gula melaka..but this one is another level please support uncle..

A shabby looking store that you would easily miss if you don't pay attention. But freshly made onde-onde! I'm in! This onde-onde is truly different from the oozing gula melaka you usually get. At RM3 for 4 biji, I'm pleasantly impressed by this soft, sweet & salty version of onde-onde, with semi-mellted gula melaka inside. There is a chunk of gula melaka in each, I find that to be the best. There's no gula melaka spiling out everywhere but that glorious chunk! I don't chew on it, but merely such on it & let it melt. Ohhh so delicious! I will definitely be back.
